  • 1938 Kindergarten for 30 German Jewish children opens its doors on Hillel Street, Hadar –One of the first classes of Leo Baeck students Headmaster, Rabbi Dr. Meir Elk 
  • 1947 Rabbi Leo Baeck visits the school
  • 1970 Leo Baeck School with ca. 250 pupils moves to new home on Haifa's French Carmel – Headmaster, Rabbi Dr. Meir Elk
  • 1980 Ohel Avraham Progressive Synagogue is established on the Leo Baeck campus, reaching out to the local community and offering a special Bar/Bat Mitzvah program for populations with special needs and for poor new immigrant families – Rabbi Robert Samuels, also Asst. Headmaster to Dr. ElkRabbi Dr. Elk
