אנגלית - העקרונות בהוראת שפה אנגלית

השפה האנגלית נחשבת כשפה הזרה המדוברת ביותר בעולם. מיליוני אנשים בעולם משתמשים בה לתקשורת בינלאומית, לסחר בינלאומי, לתיירות, למחקר, לאקדמיה ולתקשורת. בנסיבות הללו נוצר הכרח לקבוע סטנדרטים אחידים בהוראת האנגלית, המתייחסים לארבעה תחומי לימוד:

סטנדרטים

תחום -אינטראקציה חברתית

סטנדרטים-התלמידים מתקשרים באנגלית, בעל-פה ובכתב, בהקשרים חברתיים שונים, עם דוברים בעלי רקע לשוני ותרבותי מגוון.

תחום -נגישות למידע

סטנדרטים-התלמידים משיגים מידע באנגלית, דבור וכתוב, ממקורות מגוונים ומערוצי תקשורת שונים לשם שימוש בתחומים אחרים על פי הצורך.

תחום- הצגת מידע ורעיונות

סטנדרטים- התלמידים מציגים מידע ורעיונות באנגלית באופן מאורגן ומתוכנן במגוון דרכים בעל-פה או בכתב על מגוון רחב של נושאים.

תחום- הכרה והוקרה של ספרות ותרבות ושל שפה

סטנדרטים- התלמידים מכירים ומוקירים ספרות הכתובה באנגלית ומפתחים רגישות לתרבויות שונות.

התלמידים מכירים ומוקירים את מאפייני השפה ואת ההבדלים בין אנגלית לבין שפות אחרות.

בתהליך הלמידה מתמודדים התלמידים עם מטלות שמטרתן לעודד חשיבה ביקורתית ויכולת לפתור בעיות באמצעות ניתוח, השוואה, הכללה, ניבוי וכד'. המטלות מתקשרות לידע ולניסיון קודם של התלמידים. בעזרתן ניתן לעודד תקשורת טובה בין תלמידים, עבודת צוות, יישום ועיבוד של ידע חדש והפקת תוצרים. המטלות מזמנות חשיבה רפלקטיבית ומעודדות את התלמידים להשתמש באנגלית על מנת להשיג מידע ולהביע דעה.

הערכת הישגי התלמידים נחשבת לחלק בלתי נפרד מתהליך ההוראה והלמידה. היא כרוכה באיסוף עדויות על למידה במשך פרק זמן, תוך שימוש במגוון דרכי הערכה. יעדי ההערכה הם לתת היזון חוזר גם על ההתקדמות בתהליך וגם על התוצר לקראת השגת הסטנדרטים. הערכה מעצבת (תוך כדי) והערכה מסכמת (תוצאה סופית) נעשות תוך שימוש במבחנים המקובלים ובשיטות הערכה חלופיות. כיוון שגם לשיטות ההערכה המקובלות וגם לאלה החלופיות יש מגבלות, אין משתמשים רק באחד הסוגים, אלא רואים בשניהם רכיבים משלימים של תהליך ההערכה.

תוכנית הלימודים באנגלית לכיתות ז', ח', ט'

כיתות ז'

תלמידי כיתות ז’ יחלו את לימוד האנגלית בכיתות האם כקבוצות הטרוגניות. במהלך החודש הראשון ללימודים ייערך מבחן על החומר הלימודי אותו היו אמורים התלמידים לרכוש בביה"ס היסודי ומופיע בחוברת הקיץ שחולקה לנרשמים החדשים. המבחן יכלול גם קטע בהבנת הנקרא ומשימת כתיבה. לאחר מבחן המיפוי ובהסתמך על התרשמות המורות, נאתר תלמידים מתקשים. תלמידים אלו יעברו מבחן דיאגנוסטי, ועל פי תוצאות המבחן נחליט אם לשבצם בקבוצות לימוד קטנות, המותאמות לרמתם, על מנת לנסות לעזור להם להדביק פערים לימודיים. לקראת רבעון ויום הורים ראשון (בקירוב) יחולקו התלמידים להקבצות על סמך הישגיהם והמלצות המורות. תלמידים שממוצע הציונים שלהם יהיה נמוך מ-65 ישובצו בהקבצה ב'.

במהלך שנת הלימודים יערכו שני מבחנים בכל מחצית (בנוסף לבחנים וליומן קריאה). תלמיד, אשר ייכשל במבחן, יקבל התראה, ולאחר שני כישלונות, ירד הקבצה.

תינתן הזדמנות לעלות הקבצה במידה שהתלמיד יקבל במבחן ציון גבוה מ-90 ובהמלצת המורה. במקרה כזה, יהיה התלמיד רשאי לגשת לרכזת האנגלית על מנת לקבל אישור למבחן מעבר. התלמיד יקבל חומר למבחן של ההקבצה הגבוהה יותר, ותוך כשבועיים יהיה עליו להיבחן ולקבל ציון מעל 65.

 

SYLLABUS -7 TH GRADE 2022/2023

Goals
1. The student will be able to communicate fluently on a wide range of topics

  using correct language and rich vocabulary.

  1. The students will read different kinds of texts on several topics.

  2. The student will learn about different cultural practices and traditions of English- speaking countries and compare them with his own.

  3. The student will read different literary texts and discuss themes, conflicts and personal ideas.

  4. The student will work cooperatively in pairs and in groups.

  5. The student will be able to use the computer to access and present information.

  6. The students will present ideas orally and in writing in an organized manner.

Content

Students will learn the following units in the book TEAMWORK  by Sharon Moshe/ ECB

  1. A Typical Day: Read a text and respond personally. Parts of Speech. Present Simple (+)

  2. Yes, You Can! Read and spell long e/o sounds. Talk about making plans. Present Simple (-/?)

  3. Staycations:Read and spell long a/silent gh.Read and respond to a text. Present Progressive.

  4. It’s a Mystery! Read and spell “ture”. Understand directions and ask for information. Past S.

  5. It’s Our Planet. (optional) Read and spell “tion”. Ask and answer questions. Modals.

כיתות ח'

לקראת סוף המחצית הראשונה של כיתה ז' חולקו התלמידים להקבצות על סמך הישגיהם והמלצות המורות. תלמידים שציונם היה נמוך מ-65 שובצו בהקבצה ב', ותלמידים שאותרו עוד בתחילת השנה כחלשים במיוחד שובצו בקבוצות קטנות על מנת לנסות לעזור להם להדביק פערים (הקבצות ג').

כל תלמידי השכבה קיבלו חוברת עבודה לקיץ. במהלך החודש הראשון ללימודים ייערך מבחן מיפוי ובו יבחנו התלמידים על עבודות הקיץ. המבחן נועד לשמש מבחן מעבר לתלמידים שהיה להם ציון גבולי ונרשם להם בתעודה כי ירדו/יעלו הקבצה בהתאם להישגיהם במבחן זה. בנוסף, המבחן שקף את ידיעותיהם של התלמידים בחומר שנלמד בכיתה ז', לכן על סמך מבחן זה, נוכל גם לשבץ מחדש במקרה שחל שינוי במצב הלימודי של התלמיד (לטובה או לרעה) במהלך שנת הלימודים ייערכו שני מבחנים בכל מחצית (בנוסף לבחנים וליומן קריאה) .תלמיד, אשר יכשל במבחן, יקבל התראה, ולאחר שני כישלונות, ירד הקבצה תינתן הזדמנות לעלות הקבצה במידה שהתלמיד יקבל במבחן ציון גבוה מ-90 ובהמלצת המורה. במקרה כזה יהיה התלמיד רשאי לגשת לרכזת האנגלית על מנת לקבל אישור למבחן מעבר. התלמיד יקבל חומר למבחן של ההקבצה הגבוהה יותר, ותוך כשבועיים יהיה עליו להיבחן ולקבל ציון מעל 65. המועד האחרון לעלות הקבצה יהיה לאחר המבחן הראשון שייערך במחצית ב'.

Students will learn the following units in the book NEW DIRECTIONS PLUS by Andrew Wilson/ECB

  1. The Best of Both Worlds: read and understand main points of a text, Review Present Simple, Present Progressive, Stative verbs

  2. Fact or Fiction? Understand and extract information from a text, respond in writing, Review Past Simple and 3 forms of the Future.

  3. Enough is Enough! Read independently and respond to a text. Learn about Modals and Semi-Modals.

  4. Born Free: Identify key information and main ideas. Learn about Past Progressive.

  5. Live and Learn: Identify and use main points in an argument.Adjectives-Comparative and superlatives. 

  6. Crime and Punishment (optional). Learn about Relative Pronouns.

SYLLABUS - 8th Grade - B Level 

2022/2023

Goals:

 

  1. The student will be able to:

a. ask and answer questions

b. express feelings and opinions

c. follow instructions

d. give and get information

  1. The student will read and talk about different topics of articles and stories.

  2. The student will be able to write about these topics.

  3.  The student will listen to and present different kinds of dialogues.

  4.  The student will learn some grammar and many new words to improve his/her understanding and help him/her use the English language.

  5.  The student will be able to use the computer to find information and present it (orally or in writing).

 

 

Content:

 

Students will learn about at least 5 topics from the textbook Join Us by Ruth Shemesh /ECB:

  1. Join Us: Understand main idea and supporting details.Using Eye Catchers. Modals.

  2. Meet the Band: Talking about yourself. Asking and answering questions. Present Simple.

  3. All That Jazz: Understand the structure of a text , main idea and supporting details. Past Simple

  4. From Baseball to Ballet: Comparing and contrasting. Fact and Opinion. Adjectives.

  5. East Meets West: Scanning for information. Engaging in conversation. Adverbs. Future.

 

Requirements:

 

  1. Be seated in class after the bell rings.

  2. Be prepared for every lesson. Have your book, notebook and school supplies on the table. Always review the material learned in the previous lesson.

  3. Raise your hand if you want permission to talk. When somebody talks in class everybody listens.

  4. It is your responsibility to make up any material that you have missed. No excuses for not doing so will be accepted.

  5. Keep an organized notebook and a separate plastic nylon with all the worksheets.  Always bring it into class. I may collect homework assignments at any time.

כיתות ט'

התלמידים יחלו את השנה על פי ההקבצות בהן היו משובצים בשנת הלימודים הקודמת. במהלך החודש הראשון ללימודים ייערך מבחן מיפוי ובו יבחנו התלמידים על עבודות הקיץ.

המבחן נועד לשמש מבחן מעבר לתלמידים שהיה להם ציון גבולי ונרשם להם בתעודה כי ירדו/יעלו הקבצה בהתאם להישגיהם במבחן זה. בנוסף, המבחן משקף את ידיעותיהם של התלמידים בחומר שנלמד בכיתה ח', לכן על סמך מבחן זה, נוכל גם לשבץ מחדש במקרה שחל שינוי במצב הלימודי של התלמיד (לטובה או לרעה).

במהלך שנת הלימודים יעסקו התלמידים בכתיבת פרויקט, אותו יציגו בפני חבריהם לכיתה. בנוסף, יערכו שני מבחנים בכל מחצית (בנוסף לבחנים וליומני קריאה). תלמיד, אשר יכשל במבחן, יקבל התראה ויוכל לגשת למועד ב' לתיקון ציון. הציון הסופי ישתקלל 30% הציון הנמוך ו-70% הציון הגבוה. ניתן לגשת למועד ב' לתיקון ציון רק פעם אחת בכל מחצית! במידה שבכל זאת נצברו שני כישלונות בשני מבחנים והממוצע המשוקלל נמוך מ-60, התלמיד ירד הקבצה.

המועד האחרון למעברי הקבצה ייקבע ע"י ההנהלה בהתאם למועדי ההרשמה לתיכון, ובכל מקרה לא אחרי מבחן ראשון לתקופה ב'.

5. The student will be able to work individually and cooperatively in pairs and groups.
